Las Vegas performers and artists have taken a massive hit due to COVID-19 coronavirus.The Las Vegas Strip is a ghost town. When you come to Las Vegas, many of you see shows. Our artists depend on show incomes, gigs, and service industry jobs to make a living.

The Las Vegas Performing arts community has sustained me for 8 years, 5 of which have been with my production company, Melissa Vargo Productions. From the rampant casino closures, to cancelations of special events, Covid-19 has taken an excessive impact on the Las Vegas performing arts communities - especially freelance artists who rely solely on gigs.

Professional performing artists such as aerialists, dancers, speciality acts, DJ's, makeup artists, stage hands, dance and art educators, musicians, event planners, and models are all people who have been severely affected.

Without Las Vegas tourism, the show cannot go on. Many artists supplement their incomes with part time jobs often in the service industry. With all of these businesses shut down or only offering to-go orders, the majority of everyone are out of their secondary jobs.
