Veteran Marine Homeless
- My husband joined the Marine Corps straight out of high school and served during the Gulf War. When he got home, he met and married his wife, Naomi, and they have 2 beautiful daughters together. They both work in Glenwood, Iowa taking care of people with intellectual disabilities. They have worked there for years. They bought a house about 12 years ago in Pacific Junction, Iowa, and that was a culmination of their American dream. Who could have imagined the house and everything they have worked so hard for so many years for would be wiped out in a matter of hours? Insurance won't cover the loss and they don't live on a flood plain so flood insurance wasn't an option. They have lost everything except their lives and each other. It is very hard for them to ask for and accept help but they have no choice in order to provide for their children. I am asking for help for them! Can you help a veteran that has lost everything to mother nature? He just needs help with rebuilding for his family. Thank you for all you can do!
