On Feb 12th a man broke into my best friend Melissa's home where he barricaded himself from police. After many hours police were able to remove him, while doing so tear gas was shot through the house. It takes 2-3 days to air out the tear gas even when Melissa can go back to the home all her windows and doors are broken. The windows are now boarded up and the home is not in living condition for her boys and herself. All of her and her two sons belongings are ruined. Due to the tear gas chemical she has the throw all her clothes, blankets, and beds away. Even after many washes the clothes still irritate their skin. Melissa is a single mom of two smalls boys and has to start from scratch. Our main focus right now is getting her home back to living conditions, we need to replace several doors and windows. They are currently staying at a hotel and will have to stay there until her home is fixed.
