Vyvian's Krisis Relief
Hi Friends!
As you are probably aware, Vyvian was involved in a fairly serious motorcycle accident. We are very lucky that he was not hurt worse than he was. However, his right arm was severely broken and his pelvis, left foot and left shoulder were also subject to major trauma and will take awhile to heal.
On Wednesday afternoon, Vyvian was riding his Triumph--his only means of transportation--home from work. A sedan turned into oncoming traffic and crossed over the lanes of traffic in front of Vyvian before attempting to take a U-turn. The driver admitted to never seeing him and left Vyvian with no option but to take an impact. After slamming into the rear quarter panel, he was thrown from his bike but not before grazing the vehicle with his head. After a toss, a flip, an attempt to catch himself and a tumble forward, he landed in the road. Luckily, several onlookers and the driver were quick to help him out. He was transported to the nearest hospital for his severe injuries. He had a three day stay at the hospital. His arm was reset in the ER as it was completely broken free. The following day, he had surgery to pin it in place for healing.
We know we were so fortunate that things were not worse. He is a smart rider and rides with a full face helmet, leather boots and armored clothing daily. We're forever grateful for this gear as we're both sure they played a grand role in his survival. However, we will have to find a lawyer to represent us as we fight with the insurance about who's at fault. Some of you may remember his wreck in December 2019, which is also currently tied up in a legal battle, leaving us with very little payout currently.
In 2020, we were both subject to months without pay. This hardship left us behind on bills and we still hadn't financially recovered before this chaotic accident befell us. In fact, any money raised here will go towards our actual survival. We are looking to pay for rent, utilities and food for the both of us as we try our best to navigate this legal nightmare. Even small donations will ensure we're able to eat and stay sheltered during this time. If you cannot donate, that's okay! Sharing goes a long way too.
We truly appreciate the outpour of love and kind wishes for his recovery. If you have any questions or would like to get in touch, don't hesitate to reach out to either Eve or Vyvian. We love you all very much!
