I've been suffering eyesight problems for years now but it seems this year it's greatly accelerated. The optometrist and ophthalmologist tell me that there's nothing that can be done and my eyesight will gradually worsen. The state will no longer issue me a drivers license and not having transportation makes it hard to get to a job. It's been over 6 months since I was let go as a line cook and with it went my health insurance. It will take about 5 or 6 months before I can get on SSDI and I'm trying to raised money for living expenses and property taxes which will be coming due in February.
