We Are One Recovery

Donate today to save & restore lives! Your contribution of only $20 (or any amount!) along with sharing this to 5 contacts could help save the life of an LGBTQ+ person struggling with addiction. We Are One Recovery is the only LGBTQ+ addiction recovery residence in the state & struggling to keep the doors open.

Can you help?

A recent fundraiser supporting the acquisition of a billboard that fights against the drag show ban hit $60,000 in only a couple of days! The drag show ban isn't the only fight we need to put up in support of our LGBTQ+ community. We Are One Recovery, the states only LGBTQ+ recovery residence, is in great need of your immediate support!

I founded We Are One Recovery to combat the societal stigmatization & isolation of being gay in recovery. It is nearly impossible to focus on getting & staying sober when made to feel like an outcast & denied services based on your sexuality. I never felt safe or accepted, even in recovery, until I started an LGBTQ+ 12-step meeting in 2015. If We Are One Recovery was open when I was 18, I may have 18 years clean instead of 10.

Many others within our community lose their lives daily to the disease of addiction because they do not have a safe, accepting means of getting help. Many potential clients cannot afford to move into our safe haven for the LGBTQ+ community. We need to start a fund for those clients and ensure this home stays open and free for all who enter. Your donations will also help support our upcoming drag show on April 23, 2023. All proceeds from the drag show will go towards support of current and new clients. Although we are actively applying, we've not yet been able to obtain a grant to help us sustain this critical work. Your financial support of this cause will not only save lives, but change them so that members of our community can thrive.

Thank you for caring, sharing, and praying for us as we march forward in this urgent and pivotal mission!
