We Got Your Back, Coach!
**** FUNDRAISER IN SUPPORT OF COACH BUNIO ****
With the utmost respect and sincerity, we, the parents and community of the MA Football Team, write to you with heavy hearts and hopeful spirits.
We ask for your thoughtful reconsideration of the penalties issued to our head coach, Coach Bunio, and to our school.
While online discussions and social media may spread opinions — often without full context — we believe the truth should stand on its own. No rules were broken. Our team earned its place in the playoffs through honest effort, discipline, and the steadfast leadership of Coach Bunio and his dedicated staff.
If this situation has revealed anything, it is the need for continued review and clarity within MAIS policy — not the punishment of a man who has faithfully upheld the mission of education, integrity, and sportsmanship.
Coach Bunio has poured himself into his players — not only as athletes, but as young men learning character, accountability, and perseverance. He has guided and cared for them through adversity, making decisions rooted in compassion and concern for their well-being.
It has been deeply painful for our community to see his name and our school cast into the public spotlight without a fair opportunity for him to defend himself. The negative national attention and the emotional toll it has taken on his family, his players, and our community have already been punishment enough.
We humbly ask that this appeal be reconsidered — that Coach Bunio be allowed to return to doing what he does best: leading, teaching, and inspiring our young men.
We respectfully and prayerfully ask that:
- Coach Bunio be reinstated to his classroom, where he continues to teach and mentor his students.
- He be allowed to coach his team through the playoffs and, God willing, the State Championship, or at a bare minimum for this season, allowed to attend and support our team and school as a spectator.
- The penalties levied against both Coach Bunio and the school be lifted, in the spirit of fairness, restoration, and unity. **PURPOSE OF FUNDRAISER
We make this request not in anger or defiance, but in faith — faith in the integrity and grace of the MAIS, and in the belief that true leadership recognizes both justice and mercy.
Thank you for your time, your compassion, and your consideration.
May understanding, fairness, and goodwill prevail, and may our coach and his players be reunited under the values that define true sportsmanship and leadership.
With heartfelt gratitude and respect,
The Parents and Community of MA Football
