I’m too embarrassed to ask for help on social media… but this is our story. For the past 7 years I have been renting the same home for my family. We have 3 dogs and a cat. As for humans it’s me, my long term boyfriend, and 8 year old son. Our landlord called me today to tell me that they will be selling our home. Needless to say we’re devastated…. Over the years my credit has suffered due to back injuries that left me unable to work for long periods of time. My boyfriend has been laid off for the past four months and has struggled to find a new job. So buying a home on our own isn’t an option and we don’t have anyone willing to cosign for a home loan. Rentals around here don’t allow pets or are too expensive. The few that do allow pets have fees so high ($500 per pet deposit plus monthly fees for them) that make it impossible for us to afford…. We could move in with my family but that would mean we would have to rehome our pets, members of our family…. I hate to have my hand out but I truly feel like I have no other choice but to ask strangers to try and give my family some sort of security while we get back on our feet… the money would be for us to buy a home, as well as the closing costs, insurance, inspections, and any improvements that may need to be made in order for us to move in. It is an option for us to buy the home we currently rent but it would require at least $17,000 worth of improvements to meet city codes… If you can’t spare any money thank you for taking the time to read our story… and if you can donate anything even $1 thank you so much for helping my family🖤
