My name is Candice. I am reaching out to anyone that could help us get out of a situation of being homeless, and without a vehicle. A little over a year ago, my husband and I had no choice but to leave our home in North Carolina, after being evicted and our vehicle being repossessed. Prior to that, we had a house fire that took everything we had ever worked for, over the course of a 17 yr marriage and 2 children. In, that fire, we also lost our beloved animal, Nala. The whole situation was devastating. We lived in a hotel for months til we were able to get back into a home and start rebuilding what we had lost. We were doing really good. We ended up getting back into a home ( the one we got evicted from) and were finally to a point of "living" again. Unfortunately, not long after that, I fell and broke my ankle, had reconstructive surgery and was told I couldn't work again for 6-12 months. My husband was doing his very best, but it wasn't enough. That's when we couldn't keep up with the rent, our vehicle was repossessed and we had no choice, but to leave state. With the help of my husband's family, we relocated to New York, with family I hadn't spoke to in a very long time. So, once again, we lost everything AGAIN.. They hesitantly welcomed us into their home. Things have been so bad and so hard for what seems to be a lifetime. There is just too much to go into detail. We have been doing everything we are able to do, and are at a point, that we need help. We will be homeless once again, and we have no vehicle. I'm out of ideas and options. I'm humbling myself posting this, and giving it God. My mom always told me to " Believe, in the middle of disbelief". That's what I am surrendering to. I created a GoFundMe page as well, but have not had any luck. I found this site searching ways to help my page. So here I am...
