Hello, My name is Vanessa Verbickey and my family and I are stuck in between a hard spot and a rock. I never thought that I would be in a predicament that I am in at this moment. My mom and dad has always been here for me. So when my mom got hurt I came to help with no but's, what's, or if's I was there for her. My mom broke her hip back in 2022, So I packed my stuff and moved back in with my mom and dad at there house. My son and I moved in June 2022. I quite my job and now I am depending on my parents for support. Financial and emotional support! There was no way I could keep my job or even get a job my mom need 24 hrs help. Then my son, my dad, and I went to work to make my parents house accessible for my mom. I got rid of the carpet and put hardwood floor down. The bathroom I made for her to be able to use the toilet and shower. My mom has a lot of health problems already. She has diabetes, high/low blood pressure, a pig valve, and more. When my mom got home it was very very stressful! My Dad is very stubborn and he had this hernia as big as a volleyball! He had it for over 20 years but now at this time my Dad fell sick along with my mom! I did my best taking care of both of them. Changing diapers, bathing, feeding, everything! My mom was more demanding then my dad. One day my Dad was getting into the shower and he had an accident in results his hernia exploded! Please, Excuse me I am not getting into details. My dad was in hospital for about a month. This is where his last journey ended! March 10th, 2023 at the age of 75. Which was also my birthday! This was really horrible for my mom. They have been married for 55 years. So my mom took this very bad. Without my dad pension. The little bit of money she got for her social security and the little bit of money she got from my dad pension. She would not have enough money to get her prescriptions. She had medicaid and medicaid do not cover any prescriptions! ( now after the new year some of the meds will be cover. Like the blood thinner Eliquis ) She paid full price due to any medicaid supplements was not available in our county. My mom had a accident in early 2025. She had a diabetes emergency where it lead to her losing her left leg pass her knee. I can not get into to much details due to criminal activity and we are talking to lawyers. My lawyer advise me not to speak about it until later on in life. My mom died on April 26, 2025 at the age of 74. Now I am stuck! I got bills that need to be paid. I tried to get a job but unfortunately all the jobs by my house are not hiring. I know with my background I will have a hard time finding a job. I can't even drive to go to other cities to get a job. We don't even have public transportation. I do have a small little thing going on Facebook Market Place. Enough to pay just a little like a cell phone or food. My son is the one who is working but it is in retail and his checks are not enough to cover everything! This really sucks! You know our Judicial System is super slow! So whatever happens in court will not be available ( if I even win) anytime soon. I even reached out to my old employer and he moved to New Jersey. I even reached out to a landlord that I use to work for. Cleaning up and demo his properties. Unfortunately, he don't need help at the moment. I don't know what else I can do. This is way I am reaching out for help. I don't get food stamps. I only got approve for insurance. So trust me they told me no snap! I need help to pay the bills, electric, gas, and water. I am hoping by summer time I will be working again. With my background I do have a real hard time finding a job. When my Dad was around I always depended on him for a ride. If I order a Uber that would burn a hole in your pocket! The house that I am living in is my parents house. Due to my mom's outstanding medical bill that she could not afford. They put a lean on the property. I am hoping that I will get a little back but I don't know. I just have to wait to find out. The house need's a lot of work. I have no money to fix it up and my son don't make money like that. I am stuck in a rock and a hard spot. I don't know what to do. My utilities are going to be shut off.
