Veterans Widow in need
Hi. My name is Connie. I'm a veterans widow of almost 60 years old living in rural Alabama with a Domestic Violence ministry. Last year I was diagnosed with a bulging disc and a disintegrating disc. Long story short I was forced to leave my job of 5 years earlier this year. I can no longer stand for any real length of time and they would not return me to my prior nonstanding position. My employer lied and said job abandonment when I pointed out after using up my FMLA. No unemployment. By the grace of God we've made it this far. Onto the raining part. 2 of my dogs crossed the bridge a couple months apart at the beginning of the year leaving huge holes in our hearts and lives. Besides fighting to keep the utilities on the HVAC only works on emergency heat and after having a couple estimates done it's too old to get parts for so it needs to be compltetely replaced. We get by with a small window ac unit in the bedroom in the summer. My oven quit. My stand up freezer quit so I'm having to rent one weekly. The roof started leaking. The car broke down. The last time my brakes went out and I couldn't leave the mountain. Honestly I'm at my wits end so I'm reaching out in a last ditch effort to get us through the coming months until I either find a desk job or get on disability. Everyone is accepting applications but no one is hiring it seems. Please if God puts it on your heart to be the hands and feet of Christ through helping us we would be forever grateful. We being my 3 dogs Lily, Angel and Chappie along withy indoor cat Ginger plus a cat/kitten haven of about 20 outdoor farm cats. May God bless you and keep you and yours. In Jesus' name amen.
