I was so excited to finally put down a deposit to rent my friend’s place near the ocean, but one week later the LA wildfires swept through and completely burned it down forcing him to evacuate.

The heartbreak was overwhelming, and for a moment, I felt lost. But then, I realized I had a choice: to remain consumed by grief or to channel that pain into something meaningful—not just for myself, but for the countless others affected by this tragedy.

These wildfires have left so many of our neighbors devastated—many lost everything they owned, and heartbreakingly, some had their insurance canceled just weeks before the disaster.
