We're starting this fundraiser to honor my brother, Will. If you knew him, you know he was "Mr. Capable"—a truly vibrant, resilient, and goofy guy. Will was a huge Chicago sports fan (Bears, Cubs, and Bulls for life), a star runner, and a total music lover. He’s the kind of person everyone loved, and his kind heart and adventurous spirit are already so missed.

Will is now reunited with his beloved mom, Dee, and we want to create a special place to honor them both. We're raising money to renew Dee's memorial bench at the Garfield Park Conservatory, a true Chicago gem (just like Will!) that we'd visit often as a family when we were kids. We'll be adding Will’s name to that bench, and we also plan to fundraise for an eventual brand new replacement bench and more permanent metal bench in the gorgeous, central Palm Room for everyone to visit and remember them both.

We’re aiming to raise $1000 for the first bench renewal and $7500 for the new replacement one. Mike will be covering the first $500. Any extra money we raise will go to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and supporting Celebration of Life activities.
