Woodlake Strike Fund
The teachers and staff at Woodlake Elementary are officially two days into our strike, and our resolve remains unshaken. While we miss our students dearly, we will be returning to the picket line this Monday for our third day of action to fight for a fair contract. We are advocating for reduced class sizes to ensure every child gets the attention they deserve, and we are demanding that the district address our skyrocketing healthcare costs. Currently, many of our educators are shouldering premiums of approximately $1,200 per month, a burden that is simply unsustainable on a teacher's salary.
The financial strain of lost wages adds an extra layer of difficulty to an already challenging fight. To support our team, we’ve created this fund to bridge the gap. Every donation will be distributed equally among all striking union members at Woodlake to help cover essential living expenses while we stand up for our rights and our students' well-being. Thank you for standing with us as we head into day three!
