Hi all! I'm Cas, and I'm raising money for my Grams. This is a surprise for her!

My Grams has RA, fibromyalgia, and arthritis- it's expecially bad in her hands. Sometimes her hands are swollen and can hardly move; sometimes they're so weak they can't hold anything; sometimes they can move freely, though that's rare.

Keeping her hands moving is a great way to reduce pain and inflammation. She does exercises like tapping her fingers to her palm, using putty to flex the muscles, and others of the like.

Her favorite way though, and the one I'm raising money for, is making blankets using looped yarn. This allows her to make intricate movements with her hands/fingers. It's been awesome to see how much relief it gives her- plus my family and I get comfy blankets!

Recently she's been making a LOT of blankets and we realized we had to do something with them! I've sold a few to friends and coworkers, and she was so surprised that people were buying them! She wants to continue making them to 'give everyone a bit of Grandma love' :)

She especially wants to give back to the community by making blankets for folks in homes and homeless shelters.

Here's where you guys come in! Yarn is expensive, unfortunately. In order to be able to donate blankets, I've set up this fundraiser to raise some money for yarn! Bundles of yarn run from $5-$15 and it takes about 6-8 bundles of yarn to make a blanket (depending on the size).
