Zachary's Fight for Life
My name is Louise and my brother Roger, sister in law Jen, and nephew Zachary are in desperate need of some financial support.
Zachary was born with complex congenital heart disease and has had multiple open heart surgeries and invasive surgical procedures. He lost part of his left lung in 2005 due to vascular issues. He was coughing up large amounts of blood and he almost lost his life.
In the past year, Zachary was diagnosed with chronic lung disease. In addition, his vascular issues returned causing him to cough up blood again. The doctors have performed 11 surgeries since April with little to no success. He has been hospitalized since June.
He is in in intensive care in critical condition. He is sepsis causing failure to his liver, kidneys, and lungs. He is on life support, unconscious and it is a minute by minute battle, not knowing how it will end.
Zachary was able to complete 1 year of college finishing with a 4.0 GPA in Astro Physics. He made the Deans list both semesters and received numerous awards. He has college loans and may never be able to follow his career dreams.
Roger and Jen have been by his side through everything as any loving parent would be. The financial burden of medical bills and lost wages has accumulated causing additional unnecessary stress on the family.
I could write pages on how many medical issues Zach has had through his lifetime but this gives you an overview why I decided to set up this fund. Medical bills alone are in the millions.
If you can find it in your heart to help relieve some of their stress by contributing anything you can spare, I know they will appreciate it more than imaginable.
