I have been given a great opportunity to travel to South Korea for a month-long study abroad program through the engineering program at the University of Washington. The program lasts from June 24th to July 24th and will take us all across the country.

The program starts with 3 days in Seoul touring various historical sites across the city that's been the capital since 1934, over 630 years! From there we depart for Daejeon, the "silicon valley of Korea" where we will be working with engineering students from Hannam University to complete an engineering design challenge. After Daejeon, we will travel to Jeju Island where we will begin assisting on research related to AI and renewable energy with graduate students at Jeju National University.

Throughout the program we will also have a number of day trips ranging from historical locations, such as the Gyeongbokgung Palace and Gyeryongsan Ceramics Village, to engineering locations, such as the KAIST Nanofab Center and the Carbon-Free Island Exhibition Center on Jeju.
