Refund Policy Notice
When you donate funds, they go directly to the Stripe Account (Stripe is the payment processor) of the Beneficiary listed for this fundraiser. FreeFunder does not hold the funds.
From there, the Beneficiary can transfer the funds to their Bank Account in as little as 24 hours. This means that if it has been 24 hours or more from the time of your donation, you cannot get a refund through FreeFunder, since the money may already be in the Beneficiary's bank account.
If it has been at least 24 hours from the time of your donation, and you would like a refund, you will need to request that directly from the Beneficiary and any refund would be handled outside of FreeFunder.

Off-Platform Donation
What is an Off-Platform Donation?
An Off-Platform Donation is a donation sent directly to the Beneficiary via PayPal, Venmo, or CashApp. FreeFunder does not process the payment, or validate the amount, or have any control over the account you're sending from or the account the Beneficiary has specified. You would send the payment through your own app to the account that the Beneficiary has provided, and then you can record that you sent it.
You can share a comment, your name (which can be marked as Anonymous), the amount you sent (which can be marked as Private), etc. The Beneficiary will get a notification that you sent an off-platform donation, and they can verify that it happened. Once they verify, this will update the main fundraiser page and show the Contribution as well as increasing the "Raised" amount on the fundraiser. In this way, you can participate in the fundraiser while sending funds directly to the Beneficiary using the platform you prefer.
Important Disclaimer:
This will be an Off-Platform Donation, so by definition it is not managed or verified by FreeFunder. This means that if there are any issues (if the destination account information is wrong, if you later decide you want a refund, etc) then this is completely between you and the Beneficiary. FreeFunder has no ability to help you with an Off-Platform Donation. Our part is only to facilitate recording the off-platform donation so that it appears on the fundraiser page when you claim it and the Beneficiary confirms it.
